Benefit Ride for Pearce Family
It was a clear and beautiful day on Saturday, August 16th when NC-12 hosted its inaugural ride to benefit little Jacob Pearce and his family. Jacob is the son of Will Pearce (Engine 11 C-Shift, Raleigh FD) and has an extremely rare birth defect – Zellweger Syndrome. Since his birth, every day with this little one has been a bitter-sweet blessing. The prognosis for Jacob is grim at best.
With nearly 80 bikes and many with a second rider, the event was a huge success.

Our event would not have been the same without each and every individual, department and business who participated and we thank you each and everyone of them from the bottom of our hearts.
